Varroa
This map is compiled from beekeeper-contributed data through the BeeMAX diary entries system and is updated 10:00am (AEST) Tuesday and Friday mornings.
It maps the number of inspection events in a particular area (not hive numbers).
The inspection location data is anonymised within the area of each hexagon.
An inspection event consists of a Varroa mite check carried out within an apiary of any size.
- Blue hexagons: Represent areas where a negative inspection event (mite check) has occurred.
- Orange hexagons: Signify at least one positive inspection event in that area.
- Optionally you can toggle outlines to more easily differentiate between positive and negative inspections.
